Stuck on a price, is he?

well no...the car is priced lower than market value, which raised my eyebrow to start with. When I got there I fully understood why. The pictures sent to me showed the car looking good, no obvious damage. Got there and saw it in person and saw it needs a new rear wheel arch panel and the front bumper (a side i didn’t get a picture of) is basically being held on with tape.

Amazing what duct tape can do, isn’t it? Would it be worth it to get it evaluated by a mechanic and some estimates and use those to negotiate?

My biggest concern is that if he couldn’t clue me in on the damage up front, that there is something else wrong as well deeper in the car. I’m starting to shop for replacement part prices and know a place that could do body work, hope he’ll budge on the price

Car Guys always say - if you’re unsure, take it to an expert and have them put it up in the air before you buy it.

Ugh that is the fucking worst! Once, I drove 3 hours to Alexandria, VA with a buddy to look at an E46 M3. Pictures were not great, but the car looked gorgeous. We arrived, and there was not one panel that did not have a bunch of dings and scratches all over the place. The guy said the car was in perfect condition. I was more upset than my buddy and he was the buyer.
